TUPAD pay-out for over 300 beneficiaries in Quirino town

A pay-out was conducted by the Department of Labor and Employment-Quirino Field Office (DOLE-QFO) in partnership with the town’s local government unit and its Public Employment Service Office (PESO) for 383 Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program beneficiaries from various barangays of Saguday, Quirino recently.

DOLE-QFO Provincial Director Laura B. Diciano attended the activity in behalf of DOLE Regional Director Joel M. Gonzales, along with outgoing Mayor Marcelina Pagbilao, incoming Mayor Jerry Pagbilao, and PESO Manager William Bill Doria.

In her speech, Diciano told the beneficiaries to utilize the money in the right way while also emphasizing the recent wage hike in Region 02.

“Sa susunod po na mga magiging benepisyaryo ng TUPAD, ang matatanggap na po nila ay P400.00 sa isang araw; P4,000.00 na po ang matatanggap nilang kabuuan na pera. Effective na po ‘yun ngayong araw na ito, June 8.”

The recent wage hike was done after a series of public consultations and a public hearing led by the Regional Tripartite and Wage Productivity Board (RTWPB).

Each beneficiary received P3,700.00 for rendering 10 days of work. They performed jobs involving cleaning of public spaces and gardening-related tasks. ###
