Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya – 7 Scholars from the Province of Nueva Vizcaya received financial assistance from Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) on April 7, 2022. They received assistance depending on what scholarship program they are qualified for.

For Educational Assistance by Scholarship in Emergencies (EASE) Scholars, the financial assistance amounts to 10,000 pesos/year, while scholars for OFW Dependents Scholarship Program receives an amount of 20,000 pesos/year, and scholars for Education for Development Scholarship, they will receive a total of 60,000 pesos/year.

Ensuring the accurate distribution of cheques for each scholar is handled by OWWA’s staffs, Ms. Glaizyl Mae C. Ordinario And Mr. Rody L. Recesio, with supervision from DOLE NVFO,  Ms. Alicia M. Mason.

The OFW Dependents Scholarship Program (ODSP) provides financial assistance of P20,000.00 per academic year to eligible dependents of active OWWA members with a monthly salary of not more than 600 US dollars. ###
