Tuguegarao City, Cagayan - The DOLE - Cagayan Batanes Field Office (CBFO) officially welcomed back its new head Ms. Grace A. Pomar recently, taking the leadership from retiring former head, Ms. Prexie Caronan and after the former’s stint as Chief of the Technical Services and Support Division (TSSD) of the DOLE RO2.

Ms. Liezel P. Magno, the field office’s acting Supervising Labor and Employment Officer, led the DOLE-CBFO personnel in welcoming Chief Pomar to the field office, a position she also held previously. 

“We feel great to work under your guidance and supervision. We look forward to a great and bright future for the team with you,” Ms. Magno said. 

Ms. Magno also enjoined the support and cooperation of the team towards the achievement of the field office’s goals and objectives while also urging all personnel for their support and cooperation to her leadership.

Chief Pomar meanwhile expressed her gratitude towards the warm welcome. 

“Thank you for the warm welcome, it lifts my spirit to continue working with you.  Hence, today, may we be reminded that respect, unity, dedication and commitment to work are the essential ingredients to a solid foundation and harmonious working relation and environment. May I encourage everyone to please work with veracity and reverence that this office will be filled with camaraderie and cohesion,” Chief Pomar said. 

She also encouraged the workforce to use their skills to contribute to the DOLE’s goals and make a positive impact to beneficiaries’ lives.

The chief also applauded the outstanding performance of DOLE-CBFO personnel as evidenced by the awards and recognitions they received for the previous year while also challenging everyone to continue to improve and exceed accomplishments from last year.

The first monthly meeting of the field office with the new chief was conducted thereafter to discuss the CBFO’s plans, thrust and objectives for the effective and efficient delivery of government services to the people.

The welcome ceremony and staff meeting were participated by all CBFO personnel via hybrid set-up in keeping with health and safety protocols. ###
