3,640 marginalized workers from the municipality of Claveria particularly fisher folks, received their salaries under the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) amounting to P15.2M at the Claveria Central School Gymnasium on May 21, 2022.

This is a joint undertaking of DOLE-CFO, Presidential Legislative Liason Office and the Municipal Government of the Claveria.

The pay-out was attended by Ms. Samantha Louise Vargas Alfonso, Presidential Legislative Liaison Officer, Claveria Mayor Lucille Angelus Guillen-Yapo and Ms. Liezel P. Magno, Supervising Labor Employment Officer.

The beneficiaries rendered 10 days of community service particularly in the beautification of tourist spots, tree planting, and construction of additional picnic sheds and graveling of farm to market roads.

The TUPAD program is a community-based package of assistance that provides emergency employment for displaced workers, underemployed and seasonal workers, and those affected by natural or man-made disasters. ###
