The DOLE Region 02 through its Cagayan Field Office (CFO) conducted a series of pay-outs to 2,788 beneficiaries of the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program amounting to ? 14.6M from the municipalities of Lal-lo, Abulug, Sta. Teresita, Camalaniugan, Aparri, Gonzaga, and Iguig on May 1, 2023 in celebration of the 121^st Labor Day.

The beneficiaries rendered 10 to 15 days of community work such as community gardening, coastal clean-up, maintenance and beautifications of tourist spots among others, under the DOLE’s TUPAD program.

TUPAD is one of the government’s flagship programs targeting displaced and underemployed workers as a form of job generation. ###
