The DOLE Region 02 through its Batanes Satellite Office (BSO) conducted a pay-out to 104 beneficiaries of the Tulong Panghanapbuhay para sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced  Workers (TUPAD) program in the municipality of Uyugan, Batanes, amounting to P1.3M on May 1, 2023 in celebration of Labor Day.

Each beneficiary rendered work for twenty (20) days and received P420.00 per day by cleaning streets and de-clogged canals, maintenance of farm to market roads, tree/ bamboo planting, beautification of tourist spots and perimeter fencing.
