DOLE RO2 holds orientation and onboarding for new employees

The DOLE Region 02 held a hybrid onboarding and orientation to fifty-three (53) new employees at the DOLE Conference Room, Carig Sur, Tuguegarao City on March 31, 2023.

The activity was led by Mr. Reginald B. Estioco, Chief of DOLE RO2 Internal Management and Services Division (IMSD), and Ms. Jonalyn P. Raguindin, Head of Human Resource Management Unit.

In his message, DOLE-IMSD Chief Estioco emphasized the importance of the activity as it lays the foundation for new employees as they try to traverse their respective careers in the agency.

“Initial impressions are crucial because they set the tone for all that comes after. Without orientation, new hires could feel uneasy in their new roles and struggle to perform to their full capacities,” Chief Estioco said.

The activity informed participants on the organization’s policies and programs and its importance towards attaining the organizational targets and commitments.

Topics discussed include Labor Relations (LR) and Labor Standards (LS) programs, Tripartism and Social Dialogue by Ms. Florie Ann Prasad, DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP-Kabuhayan), discussed by Ms. Angelica Gay L. Dela Cruz, Child Labor Prevention and Elimination Program (CLPEP) by Ms. Leah N. Entela, LEO III, Inter/Intra-Union Disputes, discussed by Ms. Marie Kris B. Batalla, and Leave Administration, discussed by Ms. Jonalyn P. Raguindin.

Meanwhile, Atty. Mari Grace L. Cumagun of Civil Service Commission (CSC) Region 2 emphasized the importance of having a high standard of ethics in public service through a discussion on “Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees" or RA 6713. ### By: John Mark A.
