1,699 marginalized workers receive TUPAD salaries in Quirino

Cabarroguis, Quirino − A total of 1,699 Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program beneficiaries from the towns of Aglipay, Cabarroguis, Diffun, Maddela, Nagtipunan and Saguday received more than P7.1M in salaries at the Provincial Capitol Gymnasium in this town on March 12, 2023.

Each beneficiary received P4,200.00 for rendering 10 days of community work involving the beautification and cleaning of public spaces and setting up mini-posts along the streets of their respective towns.

The said payout was attended by DOLE-RO2 Regional Director Joel M. Gonzales, DOLE RO2 Technical Support Services Division (TSSD) Head Laura B. Diciano, Quirino Governor Dakila Carlo E. Cua and Quirino Lone District Congresswoman Midy N. Cua.

In his speech, Director Gonzales highlighted the importance of convergence between public and private offices’ programs to improve the lives of Quirinians. He also disclosed the enhancement initiative of the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) that will be implemented soon in Nagtipunan town that can boost the tourism industry.

Meanwhile, Congresswoman Cua reminded the beneficiaries to spend their salaries wisely, reminding them of the importance of spending their hard-earned assistance on their basic needs.

The payout was spearheaded by the DOLE-Quirino Field Office (QFO) under the supervision of Provincial Director Geraldine Balico-Labayani in coordination with the Provincial Government of Quirino. ###
