The TUPAD program of DOLE is a community-based package of assistance that provides emergency employment for displaced workers, underemployed and seasonal workers, and those affected by natural or man-made disasters.
The province is one of the areas heavily affected by Typhoons and flooding last year where thousands of workers were displaced and lost their sources of livelihood.
DOLE's TUPAD helped alleviate the burden of those affected workers and their families by providing them temporary income while rendering community work. ###
