The Department of Labor and Employment – Isabela Field Office (DOLE-IFO) awarded a check amounting to P698,152.00 to the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Angadanan, Isabela on March 15, 2023 for the Kabuhayan starter kit projects of 33 beneficiaries. 

The beneficiaries are in the business of dress making, nail cares services, bamboo processing, peanut processing, baking & pastry and snack vending.

The awarding was led and witnessed by Hon. Joelle Mathea S. Panganiban, Municipal Mayor of Angadanan, Ms. Marie Joy Alviar, PESO Manager of Angadanan, DOLE-IFO Supervising Labor and Employment Officer, Mr. Froctoso Agustin and the field office’s DOLE Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program (DILEEP) staff.  

The Kabuhayan Program is the DOLE’s contribution to the governments’ agenda of inclusive growth through massive job generation and substantial poverty reduction.

The program reduces the vulnerability to risks of the poor, vulnerable and marginalized workers by providing them access to a grant assistance for capacity-building on livelihood ventures either for individual or group undertakings. ###
