Tuguegarao City, Cagayan - Four (4) workers in this city received P83K worth of monetary benefits thru the DOLE’s Labor Inspection Program at the DOLE- Regional Office No. 2, Carig Sur on February 28, 2023.

The violation was obtained through a Complaint Inspection conducted by Labor Inspector Gil N. Macarubbo on December 6, 2023.    

Two (2) mandatory conferences were presided by Labor Standards (LS) Unit Head, Mr. Dionisio P. Verzola, Jr.  between the employer’s representative and the four (4) complainants before the receipt of the above-mentioned amount.

The aforementioned amount serves as remuneration for violations on General Labor Standards (GLS), including underpayment of overtime pay, underpayment of the minimum wage under RTWPB Wage Order No. 21, non-payment of premium pay on special days, non-payment of premium pay on rest days, and non-payment of 13th month pay. ###
