340 Novo Vizcayanos avail of P1.3M in TUPAD assistance

 

Solano, Nueva Vizcaya – Around 340 informal workers from Solano, Nueva Vizcaya received their emergency employment salary from DOLE’s Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program amounting to P1,360,000.00 in a payout held at the Tomas Dacayo Community Center, Poblacion North here on January 24, 2023.

The payout was the result of a collaboration among the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Solano, the AGRI Party-List of Solano, Nueva Vizcaya and the DOLE -Nueva Vizcaya Field Office (NVFO).

The TUPAD beneficiaries rendered ten (10) days of community service through neighborhood, constructing communal gardens, sanitizing public spaces and improving tourist attractions.

DOLE Assistant Regional Director Jesus Elpidio B. Atal, Jr. and DOLE-NVFO Provincial Director Elizabeth U. Martinez represented the labor department on behalf of Regional Director Joel M. Gonzales.

In his message, ARD Atal, Jr. reminded the beneficiaries to use their salaries for their benefit, that it should not be split with anyone and that they are entitled to the whole amount based on the emergency employment period they rendered for the program.

ARD Atal, Jr. added that the DOLE, through its provincial office, shall endeavor to continue providing assistance to vulnerable workers using the varied programs and services the department offers.

He also expressed his gratitude to the Agri Party List for the provision of funds to the beneficiaries of Solano.

Vice Mayor Eddy Tiongson on behalf of Mayor Philip A. Dacayo, Cong. Wilbert T. Lee of Agri Party List and LGU Solano PESO Manager Mharielle C. Paraiso were also present during the activity. ###
