A 4-day Occupational First Aid Training was also offered to commercial businesses to help them comply with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards.
The activity was initiated by City Board Member Evyn Jay C. Diaz's office, the labor sector’s representative in the Province of Isabela, through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of the City of Ilagan.
“This training aims to inform the business owners to adhere the regulatory requirements of the law particularly on the safety and welfare of workers while performing their duties in the workplace,” SB Diaz said.
The participants paid close attention in the discussion on General Labor Standards (GLS) and compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards facilitated by Mr. Romeo Solomon A. Sales Jr. and Ms. Divine Grace P. Cristobal, Senior Labor and Employment Officers of the DOLE-IFO.
BM Diaz meanwhile commended the department for facilitating the event and for the support of the Philippine Chinese Chamber of Commerce-Ilagan Chapter and the TESDA-Isabela. ###
