DOLE-IFO awards Nego-karts to informal workers in Isabela

Ilagan City, Isabela - The Department of Labor and Employment – Isabela Field Office (DOLE-IFO) headed by Provincial Director Evelyn U. Yango led the awarding of Nego-Kart Project to various marginalized workers in different municipalities of Isabela.

The beneficiaries each received a vending cart including goods and raw products such as chicken meat, packs of fishball and kikiam, LPG, and frying pan among others that can be utilized for selling street or merienda food.

Felina Carbonel, one of the beneficiaries meanwhile expressed her gratitude to the labor department for the provision of the assistance.

The Nego-Kart, a livelihood assistance sourced from the DOLE  Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program (DILEEP), is one of the flagship programs of DOLE that aims to provide decent and sustainable livelihood to benefit and empower marginalized workers. ### By: Ralph Earl Wayne Domingo, DOLE-IFO
