50 Nego Karts distributed by DOLE in Santiago City
A total of 50 ambulant vendors from Santiago City and the municipalities of Cordon, San Agustin and Jones in Isabela received their own Nego-Kart (Negosyo sa Kariton) at an awarding held at the aforementioned city last Friday, March 11, 2022.
The Nego-Kart is the labor department's assistance to ambulant vendors so they can tap a greater number of buyers/customers and a more diversified market through increased mobility.
Each Nego-Kart is worth an amount not exceeding P30,000, complete with a vending cart and livelihood tools to further assist beneficiaries.
The awarding was attended by Regional Director Joel M. Gonzales, DOLE-Isabela Field Office (IFO) Chief Evelyn Yango, and Executive Assistant V, Ma. Annie Lynne Mondoñedo.
Isabela 4th District Representative, Atty. Alyssa Sheena Tan and Santiago City Mayor, Engr. Joseph S. Tan also graced the awarding ceremony. ###
