DOLE-NVFO brings labor programs closer to the people

Alfonso Castaneda, Nueva Vizcaya – The DOLE - Nueva Vizcaya Field Office (NVFO) participated in an Inter-Agency Ancestral Domain Visitation spearheaded by the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) on February 25, 2022, bringing along information about labor programs and services that can assist individuals in the town.

The visitation was graced by NCIP Chairperson Allen A. Capuyan. Other notable attendees were Region 2 Commissioner Atty. Norberto M. Navarro and NCIP Region 2 Regional Director Atty. Ronaldo M. Daquioag.

DOLE-NVFO Provincial Task Force for the Elimination of Local Community Armed Conflicts Focal Person Alicia M. Mason meanwhile presented the different DOLE programs which may benefit the Indigenous Peoples (IPs) and Indigenous Cultural Communities (ICCs) in the municipality.

The activity was held as the regional office here aims to reach more geographically-isolated and displaced areas for the year to be able to assist more workers with work-related concerns as well as bring emergency assistance to individuals whose livelihoods were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Also in attendance during the event were representatives from different government agencies such as DepEd, DILG, DPWH, DENR, DOE, DTI, DSWD, NIA and NBI. ###
