708 disadvantaged Quirinian workers assisted through TUPAD

Cabarroguis, Quirino - Department of Labor and Employment Office-Quirino Field Office (DOLE-QFO), in partnership with the Provincial Government of Quirino, assisted a total of 708 disadvantaged workers from the municipalities of Diffun, Cabarroguis, Saguday, Aglipay, and Maddela through the Tulong Panghanapbuhay Sa Ating Displaced/Disadvantaged Workers (TUPAD) program recently.

The payout was initiated with an assist from DOLE-QFO representatives along with Mrs. Midy N. Cua representing Governor Dakila Carlo E. Cua.

In a brief speech, Mrs. Cua made a plea to the beneficiaries to use the TUPAD assistance for their immediate needs.

Sana po ay gamitin natin ang pera para sa pangangailangan ng inyong [mga] pamilya. Mabuhay at God bless po sa ating lahat,” she said.

Ronald P. Martial, 37, a recipient from Maddela town, meanwhile expressed his gratitude for the assistance he received.

Each beneficiary received P3,700 for 10 days of work based on the region's daily minimum wage. They were tasked to perform agro-forestry community projects which involved beautification of public spaces through the promotion of “Clean and Green” practices, planting of ornamental plants and other related activities.

Minimum health protocols were strictly observed for the duration of the payout to protect the attendees’ health and prevent the spread of the COVID-19. ###
