DOLE-QFO spreads awareness on labor programs and services, holds radio guesting at PIA

Cabarroguis, Quirino - The Department of Labor and Employment - Quirino Field Office (DOLE-QFO) collaborated with the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) - Quirino to spread awareness on its programs and services that are being implemented for 2022 through a radio guesting attended by QFO-Head Laura B. Diciano and facilitated by PIA Provincial Manager Thelma Bicarme last January 26, 2022. 

The radio interview was broadcasted on 92.1 DWQP I Love Quirino Radio and the PIA Quirino through Facebook Live. 

The one-hour interview tackled DOLE programs such as the Government Internship Program (GIP) and the Special Program of Employment of the Students (SPES) primarily benefitting the youth along with the DOLE Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program (DILEEP) which includes DOLE’s flagship program Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program.

The Single Entry Approach (SEnA) was also brought up during the one-hour interview, an administrative approach to provide a speedy, impartial, inexpensive, and accessible settlement process in solving labor disputes.

"Talagang ang daming tulong sa atin," PIA Provincial Manager Bicarme said, regarding the DOLE's programs and services.

The main highlight of the interview was the discussion on the 3rd iteration of thr COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP) that started on January 24, 2022.

The said program specifically targets displaced or laid-off private employees in the informal sector and establishments in areas that are heavily affected by restrictions imposed in areas under Alert Level 3 or higher.

"I would like to emphasize that the province of Quirino was declared Alert Level 3 kaya po [ang Quirino] ay napasama sa mga pwedeng mabigyan ng CAMP 3 ngayong January," Chief Diciano said. 

She added that the Field Office has started to disseminate information about its various programs and services to aid more workers in the province while also encouraging the public to head to official government websites to be informed and avoid misinformation.

In closing, Chief Diciano bared the rallying theme of the regional office for the year, focusing on efficient service to its intended beneficiaries.

"Ang brand ng aming opisina [ay] DOLE Region 2 'M' to the fourth power: Masipag, Mabilis, Mahusay, at Malinis na Serbisyo,” Chief Diciano stated. ###
