CY 2021 labor inspection assessment and 2022 strategic planning held in Isabela


Cauayan City - The DOLE RO2 commenced with its 2021 Performance Assessment and 2022 Strategic Planning for its Labor Inspection Program (LIP) earlier today, a 3-day activity that shall run until Friday, February 11, 2022. 


The activity aims to assess the strengths and weaknesses in the implementation of the LIP for the previous year, including issues and concerns encountered, a discussion on case management, and a workshop on Department Order No. 183, Series of 2017 as aid for better program facilitation for 2022 and beyond. 


Part of the activity shall also revisit inspection checklists, forms, Labor Standards-related ISO procedures as well as rating indicators that will serve as a guide for the regional office’s labor inspectors.


Participants shall also have a run through on the new Management Information System (MIS), Project KLIP (Kahandaan para sa LIP 2022) and Project LEAP (Labor Education and Advancement Program), using available resources and new technologies for a more efficient implementation of the LIP in the current year.


The last day of the 3-day activity shall also welcome representatives from the BWSC, ECC, RCMB and RTWPB to discuss other labor updates.


Regional Director Joel M. Gonzales in his opening speech urged inspectors to always go about their inspection duties with the highest integrity to contribute to the regional office goals for the year.

The blended activity had limited participants attending the venue in Cauayan City in accordance with health and safety protocols and others attending through ZOOM. Assistant Regional Director Jesus Elpidio B. Atal, Jr. and field office heads also attended the opening program. ###
