CAMP 3 to start roll-out of assistance to Alert Level 3-affected workers in Region 02

Tuguegarao City - The third wave of the COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP) one-time cash assistance of P5K for formal sector workers affected by the imposition of Alert Level 3 or higher from January 2022 onwards will soon start accepting applications online.

Labor Chief Silvestre H. Bello III said that the DOLE has set aside assistance for private sector workers after about 11,500 private workers were reportedly displaced in Metro Manila and other places in the country because of Alert Level 3.

With Alert Level 3 extending its period and coverage, the DOLE set aside PHP1 billion Covid-19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP) to provide a one-time PHP5,000.00 financial assistance for workers in the formal sector,” Bello said during the Task Force Group of Economic Recovery-National Employment Recovery Strategy virtual press conference on Tuesday.

Those excluded from the program include government employees, foreign nationals excluding Persons of Concern (POCs) and beneficiaries of the DOLE-DOT CAMP Odette+.

Included in CAMP are affected private establishments that has implemented permanent closure (PC) or temporary closure (TC) or affected workers/individuals who were displaced or laid off covering the duration of Alert Level 3.

Documentary requirements needed for applications include a submitted online report of PC or TC submitted by establishments through the DOLE Establishment Reporting System (ERS) at or latest payroll or any alternative documents stated in DOLE Labor Advisory No. 12-A, Series of 2020 covering November or December 2021, or January 2022 onwards.

Affected workers/individuals may apply individually by submitting a clear photo of himself/herself holding a valid government-issued ID and a duly notarized proof of unemployment covering the period of Alert Level 3 in their area.

All applications shall be submitted through the DOLE ERS which shall be evaluated by the DOLE RO2 within 3 working days from receipt and a notice of approval or denial sent through applicants’ email/SMS within 3 working days after the evaluation.

Applications may be denied due to the ineligibility of applicants, misrepresentation of facts in the application and submission of falsified or tampered document.

DOLE RO2 Regional Director Joel M. Gonzales and Assistant Regional Director Jesus Elpidio B. Atal, Jr. meanwhile advise applicants to ensure that all information provided are correct to ensure the timely disbursement of financial support.

The CAMP assistance shall be directed to beneficiaries through bank transfer or electronic payment facility within 2 weeks upon approval of application so it is imperative that data submitted are correct so the disbursement will not be delayed,” Director Gonzales said.

Workers/individuals who were already applied for by their employers are barred from submitting individual applications.

Beneficiaries are meanwhile given 30 days from date of disbursement or after correction of beneficiary information to claim their assistance and failure to claim during the period shall mean replacement from the roster of approved applications. ###
