DOLE awards safety seal certificate to 5 establishments in Isabela
The rain-showers brought about by Typhoon Kiko did not stop a team from the DOLE RO2 and its Isabela Field Office (IFO) from awarding safety seal certificates to five (5) establishments in Isabela province earlier today.
The establishments awarded today were the San Miguel Foods Inc. and Archen Technologies Inc. both in Echague town, the SN Aboitiz MARIIS (unmanned) Plant in the municipality of Ramon and the East Pacific Star Bottlers Phils.,Inc (Ginebra) and ARC Refreshment Corp (RC Cola) in Cauayan City.
The aforementioned workplaces were found to be compliant with the provisions of the DOLE-DTI Joint Memorandum Circular 20-04A or the Supplemental Guidelines in the Prevention and Control of COVID-19 in the Workplace and observes the minimum public health protocols/standards set by the government.
Recipients of the safety seal certificates meanwhile voiced their support to the endeavor of the labor department and vowed to continue to follow health and safety guidelines to ensure protection of workers and clients alike.
"We commit to continuously comply with the provisions of JMC20-04A and other issuances pertaining to prevention and control of COVID-19 in workplaces for our workers and their family as well,” PM Jennifer Echavari of San Miguel Foods Inc. said.
The Safety Seal Certification program assures workers, clients, customers and visitors that an establishment is complying with the minimum public health and safety protocols set by the government, with the seal renewable after 6 months.
The DOLE is the issuing authority for establishments belonging to manufacturing, construction, utilities, ICT and warehouse. Interested establishments may apply for certification through ###
