Outstanding PESOs awarded with the Secretary’s Bayanihan Service Award

Tuguegarao City - Three (3) Public Employment and Services Office (PESOs) were duly recognized by the DOLE Regional Office No. 02 for their resilience and innovation in the midst of the pandemic in an awarding conducted at the regional office’s conference hall recently.

The PESOs who were awarded with certificates of recognition came from the LGUs of Naguilian, San Mariano and Ilagan City, all in the province of Isabela, chosen by a panel from the DOLE RO2 because of their provision of employment facilitation even with the difficult situation brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Secretary’s Bayanihan Service Award, led by Secretary Silvestre ‘Bebot’ Bello III, aims to acknowledge the contributions of PESOs nationwide in the continuous delivery of programs, projects and services to their constituents even with restrictions due to quarantine measures to control and prevent the spread of the above-mentioned virus.

The regional winners shall represent the Cagayan Valley Region in the nationwide search for the award, with winners set to receive P100,000 and a consolation price amounting to P20,000 to each of the other national nominees.

Today’s awarding was led by Regional Director Joel M. Gonzales. The Director was assisted by ARD Grace Pomar, TSSD Chief Saturnino Martinez, DOLE - IFO Head Evelyn Yango, Employment Head Elizabeth Martinez and ISA Jonnel Domingo. ###
