Bello pours TUPAD assistance to 1,848 beneficiaries in Sta. Maria town


Secretary Silvestre ‘Bebot’ Bello III personally led an awarding of Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program assistance to some 1,848 beneficiaries from Sta. Maria, Isabela earlier today.

The beneficiaries add up to a total of 68,418 beneficiaries assisted through TUPAD for CY 2021. The DOLE RO2 has so far disbursed a total of P383,137,719.17 to beneficiaries across different cities and municipalities of Region 02 as of today.

Bello was visiting the Cagayan Valley Region to ensure the swift delivery of programs and services of the labor department to intended beneficiaries as well as to personally attend to concerns that DOLE beneficiaries might have to ensure that it can be addressed upon as soon as possible.

The secretary in his speech mentioned that the DOLE’s assistance shall always be available to support its target beneficiaries, especially disadvantaged informal sector workers affected by the current pandemic.

“Lumapit lamang kayo sa mga pinakamalapit na DOLE offices sa inyong lugar at kayo ay tutulungan ng ating mga magigiliw na manggagawa ng DOLE,” Bello said.

Also present to assist the secretary in the activity were Undersecretary Renato Ebarle, Undersecretary Atty. Benjo Santos M. Benavidez, POEA Administrator Bernard Olalia, OSH Director Noel Binag, former Labor Secretary Marianito Roque, Vice Governor Bojie Dy, LPGMA Partylist Representative Allan Ty, DOLE RO2 ARD Grace Pomar representing Regional Director Joel M. Gonzales and DOLE-IFO Head Evelyn Yango. ###
