Former truck driver receives P100K in benefits through DOLE's SeNA

Ilagan City, Isabela – A total separation benefits amounting to P100,000 was recently awarded to a former truck driver in this city recently, as the DOLE – Isabela Field Office (IFO) acted upon a request for assistance for payment of benefits through the agency’s Single Entry Approach (SeNA).

The request for assistance was filed through the beneficiary’s daughter as he himself couldn’t physically attend due to a heart attack suffered while on duty.

After two (2) scheduled conferences, the assigned desk officer succeeded in crafting a mutually acceptable solution to the beneficiary’s claims, and the amount was received on May 28, 2021 as full settlement of his claims against the company.

Meanwhile, the beneficiary’s daughter expressed her gratitude to DOLE for the swift processing of his father’s claims, adding that the amount will be of great help to his father’s medical needs.

The DOLE-IFO further urges workers in the province with labor disputes to head to the field office so they can be assisted for their concerns.

The Single Entry Approach (SeNA) is a fast, inexpensive, and accessible reform program that seeks to de-judicialize the labor dispute resolution process through a 30-day mandatory conciliation-mediation of all labor disputes to prevent these cases from becoming full-blown disputes. ###
