San Mateo, Isabela informal workers benefit from DOLE Livelihood Fund


A total of 25 informal sector workers received Livelihood Fund amounting to a total of P498,600.00 intended for a NegoKart (Snack Vending) Project recently.

The amount was received by the Local Government Unit (LGU) of San Mateo, Isabela, as the agency’s Accredited Co-partner (ACP).

As the agency’s ACP, LGU San Mateo shall implement the said project by purchasing equipment, tools and raw materials for the project beneficiaries. Once the projects are turned-over to the beneficiaries, the LGU shall also be responsible in monitoring the activities and sustainability of the NegoKart Project.

The identified beneficiaries came from various barangays of the municipality whose livelihood were gravely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The said project fund was in partnership of the DOLE with the 3rd District Legislative Office of Isabela, as part of the shared commitment to provide job opportunity and uplift living conditions of constituents through the provision of sustainable livelihood.

The check was turned-over by DOLE-IFO Head Ms. Evelyn U. Yango to PESO Manager Stephanie R. Pastor in behalf of LGU San Mateo.  #### krra
