DOLE awards livelihood kits to beneficiaries in Quezon, Isabela

Ilagan, Isabela - The Department of Labor and Employment – Isabela Field Office (DOLE-IFO) awarded livelihood projects worth P407, 595.00 to 25 skilled workers of Quezon, Isabela last March 3, 2021.

The said project consists of starter kits for small engine repair & diagnostic, bread and pastry production, electrical wiring & installation, table skirting, welding works & assembly and tailoring. The said kits were purchased by LGU Quezon as an Accredited Co-Partner (ACP) of the agency in program implementation.

As part of the business development for the project, an entrepreneurial development training was conducted by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in the municipality, conveying the basics of business operations and simple records and bookkeeping to the beneficiaries.

One of the beneficiaries is a rehabilitated drug dependent who was assisted by LGU Quezon in his recovery and reintegration to the society. The beneficiary expressed his gratitude to DOLE and LGU Quezon for giving him the opportunity to turn his life around and vowed to work on his enterprise to provide a better future for his family.

The awarding was graced by Mayor Jimmy Gamazon, DOLE-IFO (DOLE Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Program (DILEEP) Focal Kathlyn Sabado, DILEEP Alternate Focal Ramoncito Liggayu and PESO Manager Vivian Margarette C. Mariano. ### krra
