Post-COVID-19 TUPAD fund awarded to LGU Cauayan City

 

Tuguegarao City A cheque amounting to P949,158.00 intended for Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Displaced/Disadvantaged Workers (TUPAD) program beneficiaries was awarded by the regional office to LGU Cauayan City yesterday, November 19, 2020.

The amount covers the minimum wage, provision of personal protective equipment in the form of face masks, face shields and washable gloves and GSIS insurance for a total for 243 beneficiaries of the said city.

 

The implementation of the program shall run from November 17 to 27, 2020, with beneficiaries earning P370.00 per day, the minimum wage rate here in the Cagayan Valley Region.

For its part, LGU Cauayan City, the regional office’s Accredited Co-Partner (ACP) shall shoulder the monitoring and evaluation and other support-related activities for the program as well as the sanitizing and cleaning of materials.

The TUPAD program was also recently included in the agency’s recovery measure amidst the flooding caused by Typhoon Ulysses and the tail-end of a cold front, with the regional office currently conducting payouts for beneficiaries in different provinces of the region. ###
