Webinar for establishments conducted in Quirino province

Cabarroguis, Quirino – In spite of the challenges brought about by the pandemic, DOLE RO2 continues its goal to bring awareness of its programs and services to the public. Recently, 32 establishments participated in a webinar activity spearheaded by the DOLE-Quirino Field Office on September 16, 2020.

Atty. Jason Elizaga, Labor and Employment Officer III, gave an in-depth discussion on DTI-DOLE Joint Memorandum Circular No. 20-04-A – Supplemental Guidelines on Workplace Prevention and Control of COVID-19. These guidelines aim to assist private establishments in developing minimum health protocols and standards in light of the pandemic.

Subsequently, Ms. Laura B. Diciano, OIC-Head of Quirino Field Office, presented the Guidelines on the Implementation of Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA), Employment Preservation Upon Resumption of Business Operations, and Cost of COVID-19 Prevention and Control Measures. Ms. Diciano also shed light on the options owners and/or managers can apply to their businesses. Her discussion was followed by an open-forum.

Meanwhile, MK Agustin, a representative of Palawan Pawnshop and a participant of the activity,  expressed his gratitude for being part of the webinar. “Thank you DOLE Quirino for spearheading this enriching webinar, I learned a lot. Thank you again. Stay safe and God Bless. Kudos also to our speakers and our moderator,” he said.

The conduct of webinar activities is one among DOLE’s priorities in providing awareness on the latest issuances and pronouncements of the agency. ###
