RTWPB 2 trains wholesalers and retailers on visual merchandising

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan --- Twenty-five (25) wholesale and retail establishments from Santiago City, Isabela participated the training on Merchandising and Visual Merchandising conducted by Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board – 2 (RTWPB 2).

The training focused on improving micro, small, and medium enterprises’ merchandise presentation, marketing techniques, stock inventory, and control among others.

According to Board Secretary Heidelwina M. Tarrosa, the training contains fundamentals of merchandising which caters to the marketing of the right product, at the right price, in the right quantity. It also includes all aspects of the total visual impact of the store and its merchandise.

“The Merchandising and Visual Merchandising is one of the training included in our Productivity Toolbox, which trains micro, small, and medium enterprises in identifying steps involved in the Selling Process. It explains the principles of merchandising and visual merchandising, and demonstrate skills on how to prepare a stock card,” Ms. Tarrosa said.

The training aims to increase sales through improved merchandise display, selling techniques, and proper stock control, which redound to Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) commitment to enhance entrepreneurial capacity and productivity, thus increases competitiveness of products or services and improves income level and quality of life of its beneficiaries.

During the training, Board Secretary Tarrosa also discussed Wage Advisory No. RTWPB – 02 which encourages the participants to adopt their own gainsharing schemes tailored to their capacity to incentivize in order to motivate their workers become more productive.
