CABARROGUIS, Quirino---In order to ensure full compliance to labor laws, the Quirino Field Office of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE-QFO) has conducted orientation and consultation on Voluntary Code of Good Practices for the Tripartite Industrial Peace Council for the Pharmaceutical Industry (TIPC-PI) in the Province of Quirino last month.
The said orientation was participated by 19 Pharmaceutical establishments in the province according to Maria Theresa T. Ronquillo, Head of DOLE QFO.
“It was an interactive learning session wherein the pharmaceutical management and its workers were enlightened on the aspects of compliance in labor standards, occupational safety and health, coverage of social welfare benefits, labor-management relations and promotion of productivity concept,” Ronquillo said.
By the end of the orientation, the signing of the Voluntary Code of Good Practices was executed by the TIPC (PI) affirming their commitment and compliance to the ideals of the Code. The TIPC (PI) also conveyed their optimism that through the continued guidance of DOLE-QFO, they will be able to continually improve their working relations with their employees and provide better services to their clientele.
